How Big’s your Stick?

1 Comment | Bulk Flash Drives

I remember when i first started selling Branded USB’s almost 6 years ago when the smallest USB drive that we sold was an 8MB and the largest a 1GB. These days people turn their noses up to anything under 1GB and Kingston manufacture a 256GB Drive. I have heard through the grapevine that a 512GB drive has been developed, but not for commercial sale.

Maybe the government are using it? Lets hope not with their current track record, somebody would probably end up leaving it on a train and 512GB is a hell of a lot of secret information to be giving away!!

In reality a 256GB drive is going to cost you around £300, so doesn’t really offer much value when it is possible to pick up 512GB portable hard drive for around £40, but prices are coming down all the time on these high end memory sticks. Who knows, in a few years, we could all be walking around with a terabyte USB Flash Drive on our keyring!
